find your inspiration with the 5 second rule

When searching for your perfect job, just remember “if they say it’s impossible, it was impossible for them NOT YOU.” Wise words from the creator of the five second rule, 5-4-3-2-1-GO, thank you Mel Robbins. This transformative book will provide the soggy hearted—damsels in distress—a few ah-ha breakthroughs, and that coupled with a suit-up-and-show-up-attitude will be your armor for success in navigating your way into your next opportunity.

Nothing is impossible! I know, I mean my resume could be as long as a CVS receipt, and I’m not hiding in the shadows of doubt. Moral of the story, we all have an inner obligation to do our best, and that takes courage. Ding-Ding…and courage my fellow readers is todays’ word of the day. Courage is defined as the ability to do something that frightens you. Stepping outside of your comfort zone is also your inner spirit guiding you to the yellow-brick-road (so to speak). It’s an opportunity to challenge yourself, and with that, I ask you, when was the last time in your job search you thought outside the box? When was the last time you took a dive into your talent pool to explain how your professional skills are transferable into a role you have been itching to get?

I’m here to encourage your COURAGE, and let you know that you are not alone, and to remind you that nothing is impossible. Looking for work, or worse, having a job you loath is never good…so I ask that today you do one thing that you might fear, in exchange for making your heart smile. Oh, and in case no one has told you this today, “I’m PROUD OF YOU.”
