A Bright Spot in Your Day

Happy Easter from A Bright Spot!

This is a happy 😃 place where you will find all types of content from the people I’ve met who inspire. Well, all types except the one that has you thinking TL:DR, because we’re not here to bore you.

I built this site last fall to serve as a platform for me, and my partner, to share our expertise on technology and marketing, hence the domain name. But then, in a fortunate turn of events, we got jobs and blogging was put on the back burner. But now that the planet is in the middle of a pandemic, and everyone has been banned to their homes, we have a little time on our hands. So we’re effectively turning lemons into lemonade and, with the upcoming posts we have planned for you, hopefully giving you a bright spot in your day. Or at least something to look at whenever you take a break from TikTok.

Why Beautiful Words, a Bunny’s Butt and a Bright Spot?

I was reminded of this perfect quote while listening to an episode of the Social Pros podcast today.

Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

Oscar Wilde

Subscribing to this podcast is an absolute must for anyone who works in marketing. The episode, How to Use Authenticity and Become a TikTok Influencer, featured TikTok influencer, Maggie Thurmon. Each episode the guests are asked for one tip they would give to people looking to become social pros and her answer was my inspiration for the day. Her tip was,

“I would say genuinely keep trying. Figure out what works and if it doesn’t work try something else, but don’t compromise who you are in the process. Don’t necessarily try to perfectly imitate someone else where you’ve seen success because that success has already been had.

Maggie Thurmon

In other words, be yourself; everyone else is already taken. Click here if you would like to listen to this episode in full and get great advice from a TikTok expert on how to create top content that people want to see and grow your following. She’s mad creative, goes to high school and has 1.4M followers. With that, I leave you to enjoy your Easter afternoon, it’s a beautiful one here in Seattle and I have to make good on my promise to keep this short and sweet! 🐥
